While waiting for my loaner car at the dealer yesterday, there was a CTS-V running where I was waiting. What a great sound! Not at all like the XLRs or CTSs I've heard before. A deep throbbing rumble... sweet! I'm sure the XLR-V will be even sweeter.

By the way, they did not have 2006 XLRs in yet and the sales guy thought I was crazy for asking!

Hi Harry,

Have not heard the CTS V exhaust.
Just know you will like the Corsa sound on your XLR.
Have a good stay in Florida.
Thanks Brooks,

tomorrow I will give the order for my Corsa, directly from Corsa in Berea-Cleveland-Ohio.
They said it takes 5 days to build it, so they ship it by next friday.

Have a nice sunday.

Harry

Stock CTS-V is almost silent...like the stock XLR and CTS
Must of had something put on aftermarket.

I told Allen Cadillac today that Hans has seen 2006 XLR's in Florida and one member here has bought one and they looked at me like I was nuts, but immediatly picked up the phone and dialed BG.

Exhuast on stock CTS-V is rather quiet. The car sounds like a stock Z06 at idle. With the Corsa, you get the deep throated rumble. There are a number of V's with BB exhaust systems also. It is louder than the Corsa. Without looking at the car, impossible to tell. However, there is no CTS-V that is not an invigorating drive, just a completely different car from the XLR.
