Has anyone done much cleaning of the engine cover? I don't want to use anything to harse like a white wall cleaner because I'm not sure the make up of the plastic. Has anyone done any cleaning yet? Mine is not that dirty but for future referance.

I do this often with all my cars. Simple Green is the best product I've found. You can take the cover off the engine and clean it outside. Spray down the whole engine compartment (except the battery area)... let it set for a while but not dry out, then use a weak spray of water. The engine compartment is RELATIVELY water safe. Just don't over do it or use a powerful spray.
