Chemical Odor

I took delivery of my 2005 about 5 weeks ago and noticed then that there was a chemical odor in the rear luggage compartment. It smells somewhat like glue.
Over these weeks I have let the rear lid stand open a great deal thinking the odor would go away. Instead, the odor is now noticeable in the cabin of the car.
Has anyone had a similar problem and,if so, what did you do to correct it.

My car had it also. The floor of the car is constructed of layers of laminated wood and aluminum. This is to give the roadster a very light, yet stiff floor and undercarriage. The glue smell is, well yes, glue. Lamination of those dissimilar materials requires glue. I believe the C6 vette has this as well.

The reason I believe the odor is the floor laminate glue rather than what Allen suggests? The smell was stronger after the car was sitting for a while with the windows up - not after being driven.

After a year, the smell is gone. It never really bothered me, so I can't remember how long it took to disappear.

Don't sweat this one. :D
