According to the Cadillac.com site. listing the 2007 XLR-V, Adaptive cruise control is back, also leather rapped wheel with wood, and the new price is now is $98,400.
I'm a little bit suspicious of the add on's, so don't shoot the messenger.

Bob,

I wonder how they wrapped the leather wheel with wood? Sorry - couldn't resist.

Seriously, if they could include the adaptive speed control this model year, I wonder why they couldn't last model year.

Good one Bill,
I described it the way it was described at cadillac.com. I didn't want people to get the impression that the whole wheel was all wood. But that's still a good one, and IF, they indeed are putting wood back on the V, it's probably because they figured out a way to install the radar unit so the grill would not interfere with the radar.
The GM Buypower site says regular cruise but also mentions a wood accent steering wheel.

Kent, do you really think that GM's left hand knows what it's right hand is doing?

I think the ACC coming back on 2007 V might be the same as the XM antenna migration. They didn't know how much people would want some thing (or didn't like something), so they put some engineers to work and got it done.

:iagree of all the whistles and bells, this is the best one going in the XLR, and was really hard for me to forfit in trading UP to the V. I never bought into the "because it needs more air flow" excuse and if they compromised it solely for the lower grill, it was a terrible trade off. There's plenty of room on that front end to find a spot for a receiver.
Incorrect 2007 Info On Cadillac.com

Please be advised,
There are three mistakes on Cadillac.com regarding the XLR-V. Two of the mistakes were taken from the XLR information. Below is the correct info:

1- No Adaptive cruise on the 2007 XLR-V

2- No wood trim on the steering wheel for the 2007 XLR-V

3- Price of the XLR-V is $100,000.00 inclusive of the gas guzzler tax and destination.

Well I guess I am safe for one more year. :crazy
I made an earlier post saying I would consider trading in my 2004 with 11K miles in for a "V" if they would put the ACC back in the car.

Thanks Allen you just saved me a lot of money.:D :D

The person who entered this information into the Cadillac.com website must have been the same one who wrote the Wikipedia article on the DVD display offering Internet access.

Well look who has egg on his face

Allen,
Yes, I have egg on my face because GM can't even get their website correct. If you folks will go in to their site you will read what I read. I don't just go around making stuff up.
It clearly states that the XLR-V is $98,300 and doesn't state that there are any extras to add to the vehicle to get it to $100,000.
Allen, If you make a statement, be prepared to qualify it and tell us why they have posted erroneous information.
Thank You
Bob

Incorrect 2007 Info On Cadillac.com

Yes, There are mistakes as I pointed out,, how they arrived there I have no clue, As I stated, I can surmise 2 orf the three issues were taken directly from the regular XLRs info.

But be assured, the XLR team knows about the mistakes and it will be corrected.

technically 98,400. is the price of the car....gas guzzler tax and destination charges are extras just like sales tax and license fees, you wouldn't expect them to include that in their advertising.

Their price on the web site last year was $100,000, so now they try to make it look cheaper by removing the gas guzzler tax and destination fee? OK, I guess we aren't supposed to catch on to that. techincally

Incorrect 2007 Info On Cadillac.com

Regarding the MSRP, it is a mistake, because they do say it includes the Gas Guzzler TAx. Cadillac was not trying to misslead anyone, it's just the internet company that runs the site for Cadillac posted the price without the tax, but said it was included. The bottom line is the price is exactly the same as last years $100,000.00

thanks Allen,
glad to see they're holding the line on the MSRP.......
hopefully the dealers will try to do the same
G
Cooler heads prevail........thanks for straightening this out. I sometimes wish you were on the west coast, so we could deal with a dealer that knew what he was talking about. You are the man.
Thank you Bob,

It is funny though, to date I have delivered 8 XLRs to California. I have said to the powers to be at Cadillac, that the person that spends 75,000+ on a vehicle cares less where he buys it and if the dealer is close to where they live, and cares more about dealing with someone that is knowledgeable & professional.
