Other than the ongoing discussion with Volant, has anybody found a source for cold air intake systems for the XLR or XLR-V?

Southern CA XLR Owners

New Level Motor Sports is looking for XLR and XLR-V owners in the Pomona CA area to be the prototypes for their Cold Air Intake System for these vehicles. Are there any members out there who are interested in doing this? If so, please respond and I'll send you the contact information. In the interim, you can visit their website at: http://www.newlevelmotorsports.com

This is a good opportunity to bring this significant enhancement to all XLR owners. Generally. CAI systems will improve horsepower between 5% and 10%. They can also improve fuel efficiency.

Pegasus,
I would do it, but I would want it in writing that they will make the unit and install one on my car free of charge in a timely fashion, not like these jokers at Volant. I'm talking, 2 months to have one ready and do a Dyno at each end of the operation.
1_XLR lives out there, maybe he would be willing to do it with his V again.

Maybe Mike would do this.
I don't know if I need mine to go any faster, plus the fact that it's running so nice with no problems, I don't think I want to take the chance.

Lund has one for the standard XLR but I'm not sure about the V. They tried ot get me to go with theirs when Volant could not give a date. I said I would take a look at it next time I stopped in but haven't stopped to check it out yet. Supposedly lots of chrome which I think defeats the purpose of a cold air intake.
