Well folks, they stepped up to the plate and hit one out of the park. I have just been informed that my warrantee will not be voided after all (see Warning Warning Warning). After discussions at higher levels they decided to recind what was apparently a lower level decision. Thank you Cadillac! You have justified my decision to buy American. And a special thank you to Cheryl Zerbe of Cadillac Customer Service. You have been absolutely wonderful throughout this whole ordeal. And Cadillac - I promise - I will not abuse the car.

I've been expecting this post! :cheers
I've butted heads with them, and they've stepped up as well!

Off to the grocery store and church :angel
Huzzah!

Thanks pob. This puts my mind at ease. I really do want to attend one of those track events. Congratulations on your victory! :cheers

Whether I take the XLR on the track, or content myself to just driving the red C4 will be determined as I collect more information.

Feel like gamblin'? I'll bet there are some legal precedents already in place. You can bet, I will find out what they are within 30 days.

Meanwhile, like 1 XLR, our XLR is restricted to trips to choir practice, country club Sunday Brunch, and (of course) my local general aviation airport, 9X1.

Just a suggestion, but you might want to put either a link or the same statement at the bottom of the original thread. If someone a year down the road reads the original thread (and it happens), they won't know that the situation was solved by Cadillac Customer Service and think the issue is still unresolved.

Great News

Great news pob!! What with the XLR-V coming GM, Chrysler & Ford can not be pretentious and fail to cover their up-powered machines when used to near potential in a reasonable & organized event.
What would we do with all Vettes, Vipers & GT's and XLR-V's - only look at them revolve on pedastals behind glass?? :nodno
Congratulations again :cheers
