Have any arrangements been finalized for the August trip to Bowling Green to visit the plant and NCM? Need to know the confirmed dates and arrangements for meeting up with other groups from other states. I'm hoping to have a group from Florida caravan up and it would be great to join others on the way. Also need hotel info. It had been mentioned last month that the info would become available after the holidays. Will we be able to tour the plant and visit the NCM while there? Let us know soon...Thanks, Bill (ocool)

Jim is probably still shoveling snow. looks like they are getting it again. I'm sure he will have specific hotel info up later but this is what he last posted.

The planned itinerary at this time is to come to BG on Thurdsday and have a party that night. On Friday 8/17 we have the factory tour scheduled at 10 am. We will also visit the Corvette Museum that day. On Sat. we will do a park n shine at the hotel. We will depart for home on Sun am.

Back when I was only allowed to look and not write this post was part of the Bowling Green discussion. Maybe we could get Jamsto to share the hotel information he was referring to?

I would certainly prefer to have my reservations set...

"Bill, After the first of year I will post all the info on the event including registration info, itinerary and the hotel that we will be using. I have already obtained a rate at the hotel and have set up the plant tour and Corvette Museum tour. In January all the details will be finalized and info will be posted. There are others coming from Florida, including Professor from Panama City (owner of the XLR with the most miles-137K +) Jim"

The hotel has sent me the paperwook and I will be posting all info within the next few days. We will be staying at the Hampton Inn and get a rate of $89 instead of the regualr rate of $109. As soon as I receive the packet from the hotel I will have the codes to use for registration. Bob, you are right, we are bracing for another snow storm. This is not the New Mexico desert that we are used to. I haven't had my XLR out of the garage since before Christmas. The GM factory tour is set for Friday 8/17 at 10 am and a tour of the Corvette Museum is set for that afternoon. Costs of tours, etc will all be included in registration fee.

Jim,
This is just a possibility, but Hans in Germany may be moving to the US, especially if his daughter decides to stay and look for work after her schooling next August. If he does decide to move, we will all have to watch for the best deal on a 07-V, because you know he is going to buy one so we can come with 2 V's from California.
Sorry Hans, I had to let the cat out of the bag. I hope I haven't spoke out of turn here.

Bob, That would great. I am sure that Hans would like to be driving a real "V" rather than the XLR that he has now. By the reports on the forum from new owners, prices should be favorable for him to get one. I will have to wait for a while before I can trade up because we bought too many Cadillacs last year. With this snow, I am glad we got the new Escalade last year. Jim

Bob, I have yery much work for winter-sale right now and I overlooked this post of you.
No, that`s ok but we have to see what`s going on with Sabrina over the next months. Two V`s on the way to Bowling Green sounds cool but a GTO and your V is not bad too. We`ll see!!!!!!

Sure is, we leaving CA. on monday, aug 13 th for XLR Rendezvous II, picking up Kent (jetboyphoenix) in AZ. and Jean and Jim (jamsto) in ABQ NM - hope to get a lot more people for the convoy.

Hans
