Sorry I posted this in the wrong place earlier.

Does anyone know why the XLR battery has the old style terminals?

I am not sure but I would say that with the bigger terminals you can get better contact so you can pull more current with less loss of power.
What I would like to know is with everything that this car does electrically why they used a small amp battery.
