Lucky us in San Diego ... when my black 04 was damaged, I was absolutely panicky about how and who would fix it. So, I called Cadillac's 800 number for a reference for body work ... they recommended Marvin K Brown Cadillac in San Diego, but when I reserched them on the internet I found a huge complaint against their auto shop .... and Cadillac couldn't recommend anyone else with experience on the XLR. So, I remembered an acquaintance from my past who for the last 48 years has owned and operated a Corvette specialty auto body shop in El Cajon - Gene Townsend Enterprises - I took the car to Gene - he took a personal interest in the car and I got it back in PERFECT condition. I cannot believe that the car ever had damage to it. He went absolutely beyond any expectations that I had. So, for any of you looking for excellent work, service and reputation ... there you have it.

you're right, Caly. Gene told me he took the opportunity to take a good look at the car, and he mentioned that also. his attention to detail was unbelievable. to replace the rivets in the bumber he even ordered those from chevy (corvette) so that they would be the original ... i am so pleased. Of course, with 42 years of working on corvettes, the guy is amazing. and he has a real appreciation for the XLR.....
