I see many ads for new V's for 89K-91K now.

I cut a deal to order a 2007 for 95K but now think im may be over paying.......

One dealer who called me when the car came in asking 102K! is dumping the car for 90K

End of the model year.

July represents the time of year in the auto industry where the manufacturers stop making the current model (2006) and begin production of the 2007 models.

Every year at this time, prices begin to drop.

Just think, you can make the same prediction every year and be right! :D

Employee discoumt

Last year we got the "GM employee discount" on our XLR in August. Wonder what GM will do this year to match DC's pricing. :confused
It always seemed a reach for Cadiliac to try for $100,000, even for as excellent a car as the XLR-V

I got seriously dumped on for saying this a few weeks ago. Far from being a heretic, I can count. There are hundreds of these all over the country, and many dealers will dump them at cost ($85K). It's a beautiful car, that has been totally mis marketed by those losers at GM, who better begin learning French, as Carlos Ghosn, the turnaround artist from Nissan and Renault moves in for the kill. Please feel free to dump on me, call me a wannabe that can't afford one, etc. I can still count. Just run a nationwide sweep on GM Buy Power. It's not a socioeconomic issue, just lousy marketing.

OK, I'm dumping......................Check your other auto makers and see how well they aren't doing too. They just happen to be gasping like a fish out of water too. Consider yourself dumped on.

You are right! Here in Germany Volkswagen sell`s most of their cars 20% under list price and a Pheaton you`ll get for 50% of the regular price.

BMW give you a discount of 15-23% depends on model.

Mercedes reduce it`s cars between 10-25%

The whole car market got so big that any of them wants to sell its own product + China and India will put soon their cars on the market too.

Does your source for production quantities differentiate between XLRs and XLR-Vs?

I thought there were only about 500 Vs being produced for 2006
No Aviator, the numbers shows only XLR but I think 300 -500 V`s would be about right.

The source is theautochannel.com go on search for "Cadillac XLR Sales dec 2005" and you`ll find the numbers of 04 and 05.
