They work, then they dont, then they speed up? Is this the rain sensing wipers? Basically, no matter how I adjust them they are always going as if they are set to the slow speed. Then out of the blue they work

I had the same problem on my '04 as my '06

Sounds like the rain sensing feature. One notch up on the stalk. They seem to have a delay in adjusting for speed variations. We finally got rain in Phoenix yesterday after 143 days of no rain so I got to try them out. They seem to work better than the ones on the 02 STS did. If I know I'm going to be doing a lot of variable speed driving I jwill ust put them up two notchs.

More annoying to me is the amount of water that runs into the trunk when you open it.

no no no

No No No, Jet, that's why I carry a wet shammy in a big plastic Zip lock bag behind my seat. I wet it once a month to keep it loose and moist.

Jet,
As for myself, I would just like those normal wipers with four speeds, I never know what I have on. When I go through the car wash I think I have them off and look into the glass and see my wipers Merrily wiping away the soap.
