Has anyone installed an AM antenna on your XLR. AM reception is terrible. My Escalade gets good reception but the XLR can hardly receive a local 100K station in a parking deck.

I've done this before on a Pontiac Grand Prix but put an electric one into the so called luggage compartment. There's only one coax cable for AM and FM, so FM should sound better too. Have a place like Circuit City install one. Maybe around $150.

I have a problem with both am and fm and would like to get them to work better but know one seems to know the problem. Cadillac had it back twice and they can not get better reception. They stated all XLR's have the problem.. Any ideas.

I would say no, but I'm just one guy that had two XLR's living close to LA.

I have never had good AM/FM reception, but I have not had the inclination to get the issue resolved due to having XM on 100% of the time.
