So, It's at the end of my day and I head to the barber shop. It's near my office and I'm smack in the middle of Beverly Hills. I need a shave before I go out to dinner.
I enter the barber shop they take my coat and hand me my regular dosage of scotch. I relax and lean back in total relaxation mode. Straight razor shaves are a must and I highly recommend them. Out the door, clean shaven, on my way to dinner.
Phone rings, it's my partner. He needs to see me at the office. So I direct my 06 Silver XLR back to the office. it's 8pm and theres parking right infront. Perfect, I'll be in and out!!! 10 mins later I exit just intime to see this lady seemingly almost miss my car as she plows into the car parked infront of me. I gasp, Wow, she almost hit my car. As I walk around to the drivers side, I notice the drivers side view mirror has been moved forward. I take a closer look. She did hit my car. She hit the car in such an akward way that it cracked bent the rear axle. The wheels look hunch over or leaning to the right.
Hope they total me out.

If you love yours the way I love mine, you have my sympathy. There, that should make you feel better.

That sounds painful. You have my condolences. If they total you out and you want another XLR and don't mind an 05. My parents are selling their silver one with less than 8000 miles and really nice custom wheels if your interested.

I crunched my platinum last 4th of July and the toughest part was matching the paint.
They have to blend through the quarter panel or it will never match. They tried to do it without blending and my car looked like a two tone papermate pen.

Yea, a five mile an hour hit into one of those Dodge caravan airport buses with that big steel bumper. Took out grill, radiator, hood, fenders, lights, bumper, inner fenders. Air bags never went off. 10K worth of damage and they had to paint the car twice to get it right.
This has no effect on the case. The console heat problem was there before the big bang and documented.

Standby I never knew your 04 had been in an altercation. Even with this there is a buy back going on?

Update...

Ok guys, so here's the latest on my accident.
I had my car towed to the Cadillac dealer which has it's own in house body shop.
The damage comes out at around five grand.
Progressive has been handling it and so far I'm not having any problems with them. (not my insurance)

Today I went and took a look at what they have done so far.
At this point the left door has been striped including the interior.
The gas door is off and the rear lights are off. Looks like its getting ready for paint.
they have fixed the or replace the entire rear suspension .

So after all its doesn't look that bad.

Greetins,

I feel for ya. I had a close call last week and I can just imagine how I would feel. Hope all turns out fine for you and your XLR

Forget the car, I need to hear more about the barber shop. :)

My kinda place!
Wow! The last time I asked for a shave in a barbershop, the guy pulled out a plastic Bic razor! nada! No bueno!

I do not know a single place that does the hot towel and straight razor shaves anymore.

My condolences about the accident.

Well, Here is the update.

I just got my car back and it looks and drives great.
Lou Elers Caddilac has a great body shop (in house) and service department. I highly reccomend it.
After only having the car back one day. Its seems that I cannot park the car anywhere. After parking in the lot of my boxing club, someone (unknown) pulled out and scraped my rear bumber. Most of it buffed out, but wtf?
Also, while the car was in the shop I had them chrome the rims. Looks great.

So, 5k of damage later and new rims. and one new painted and new scraped bumper, life ain't so bad.
