I have a 2006 xlrv that I decided to garage for 2 months. The fobs do not work and the battery appears dead. I flipped down the square access panel on the bumper but my glove box key did not seem to fit.

Any ideas about ...if that is the correct key and how to proceed from here?

Use plenty of penetrating oil like liquid wrench. Let it soak in real good and the key will work.
