Here is a picture of the 2006 wood console. Do you think this is the same as the light wood of 2004? I would like to order this wood to update my 04 dash.

It looks the same as my 04, but there is a new wood trim that looks like walnut. Thanks for the riminder, I have to make sure I get the Walnut with the Shale interior

Are you sure that would work?

The outline of the sections seems quite different from the metalwork on the original '04 (and I mean metal loosely -- isn't it alumnium sheath over plastic?)

That said, I think it looks a little out of place -- the all-wood replacement on the '06 CTS looks like an excellent center stack replacement, but I wouldn't trade the original look in just yet...
