I received the Crutchfield unit. Does anyone know how to access the XM unit in the trunck?

Can it be accessed by removeing the center console between the two seats?

I understand Crutchfield will be marketing a module for such an application very shortly. Try doing a search, I saw a link on the C6 Corvette forum, I'll post it as soon as I find it again.

Here is one link, there are others. I believe the unit will convert any GM, XM module to Sirius. The Corvette and XLR share the same basic technology when it comes to head units, so if it works in one - should work in the other.

I did the conversion of the stock 2005 XLR XM Radio unit in the trunck to Sirius Radio and it was very easy and without any major problems.

The only problem I have is the volume is lower when listening to sat radio, so when I switch to AM or FM radio, I have lower the volume because it's too loud.

I heard about this problem in other cars too.

Does anyone have an answer?
