All the photos I see on the net show the 06 as having a mult-spoke rim, rather cheap looking, like the ols base model 3 series BMW, not to my liking and, since I was in the market this year, a deal-breaker. Has anyone seen the rims and are they so...or are they the same 7 spokers, I like. Perhaps our infared purchaser can comment. Thanx

1701,This picture for the 06-V was posted about 4 months ago from the NYC auto show. Only the new infra red owner would know for sure on xlr 06 model.

Potential 06-V owner will have 19" Foose star rims which totally make the car. My 04 has them if you want to see them click on my photo's

shouldn't be a deal breaker, you can get 04-05 7 spoke anywhere......IF the 06 has a multi spoke, even the dealer may offer to trade them out, if not you could easily trade on the open market. I'll be the first to offer up mine!!

Thanx. But I'm NOT referring to the V rims, which to me look sharp. The photos show a chrome or polished multi-spoke wheel, probably 20 spokes. If I only knew HOW to paste them here! Anyway, perhaps the dealer would switch for the old!

1701,

Easy to post pictures.
After posting typed message, scroll down to manage attachments. The rest is easy unless you have to down size the picture.
Good Luck

15 Spoke XLR Wheels

1701:
It sounds like you are talking about the XLRs 15 spoke High Spun wheels that have the lug caps exposed and a crystal like center cap.

Simply go to:
www.Cadillac-XLR.com

you will see a crimson red with them on I just took shots today of a 2006 Infra Red with the 15 spoke on, I will put them up in a few days.

To see a close up of the wheel just go to:
www.xlrgiftboutique.com
Then click on the new items page. You will see the close ups of the 15 Spoke & the Chrome XLR wheels.

Thank you
Allen

Rims

Hey, I think you got it! The red XLR on the site showed the multi-spoked rims I saw. Actually, they look better close-up on that site!! Anyway, it appears that there IS hope for me and my 06 aspirations for the seven spokers, afterall. Many thanks to all of you out there. Hopefully this model year I'll OFFICIALLY be part of the club.

Hi there,
I don`t understand why Cadillac doesn`t put bigger tires on this 15 spoke!!!!

As I know, the size is the same as the stock ones we have on but we can replace the tires for the stock ones with 255/45 18 tires and I think they look alot better.

If I don`t buy a V, I´ll put these tires on mine for replacement.

Thanks
Harry Hans

K&N in, Corsa out, Mr. XLR Bling

Sorry for the previous rather cryptic comments. What I was trying to say
was,

The air input is through K&N airfilters, two required for an XLR.

The exhaust is through a Corsa system. Mellow at low RPM, rumble at higher and nasty when your right foot gets nasty. Your attitude can be expressed through the Corsa system. Not irritating at highway cruse.

The 15 spoke wheels by Mr. XLR provide Bling reflecting my taste. I love em, you
decide for your taste but watch those damn high curbs.
