Hi all my XLR-friends
yesterday I went with my XLR to a performance-training and I could check out my exactly numbers from 0-100 kph and 0-160 kph

first run with tc on 0-100 kph (62 mph) 5.7 sec
2nd run with tc and stability track off 5.5 sec

0-160 kph ( 100 mph) with tc and stab. track off 13.9 sec

I think this are very good numbers, my XLR was faster than the Jag XK 8 (298 hp) and the sl 500 (306 hp).

Good work.

It's all about torque the North Star engine provides.

Try it again with your Corsa exhaust and see if the numbers don't improve.

I'm willing to bet they will.

Hi Brooksmorris,
I got the Corsa Indy on my Vette but not on my XLR. Still not sure if I buy one for my XLR because I don`t want to have the XLR too loud. On my Vette I love it but that is my sports-car but the XLR is my luxury-sports-car and I don`t know :confused :confused :confused if I put it on or not.
I might have the opportunity in aug when I´m in the US to hear the sound of an XLR with the Corsa on and if I like it I´m pretty sure I´ll buy one and have it shipped over.

Hi mahme,

you still don`t have it??? The one I bought for my Vette in Dallas in 02 was shipped from there and took 10 days. The corsa went there even before I was.

I´m interested what you say about it when you put it on your XLR.

I hope you get it soon, we stay in touch.

i know its been a while, I actually had it shipped via cargo by a friend along with a whole bunch of stuff (furniture...) so it defintely will take a month or two to get here... (no sure when it was shipped though...)

but you'll be the first to know as soon as I get it...

Corsa Exhaust

You confuse me regarding the distinction between your Corvette and the XLR.

Calling you XLR your "luxury Sports car" really has nothing to do with the sound emitted by the Corsa exhaust, unless you are looking for "Stealth Quiet" while cruising the suburbs and don't need the extra horsepower the Corsa provides to the engine because it relieves alot of back pressure induced by the stock exhaust system.

Harry, to me, the Corsa sound on my XLR is not loud, it's subtle.

It's all in the ears, I guess, but the sound of the Corsa is music to mine.
Plus, I like the improved performance.

Hi Brooksmorris,
as I know from my Vette, the stock exhaust is much quiter than my Corsa-Indy, but this great sound with the corsa fits the vette pretty well. Up to 1500-1800 rpm it`s not to loud but when winding the gears out, especialy with top down, it`s pure music.
I hope, I can hear the sound of the XLR with the corsa on in aug. while I´m in the US. But be pretty sure now that I buy one, send it here to germany and have it put on, on my XLR in sept.

Now I´m already interested if I get it than over my fastest 278 kph (173 mph).
