Your XLR probably has the old analog cellular version of Onstar and it became non-functional when the analog cellular service was phased out several years ago. In the past the dealer could upgrade your system to the digital version and the cost was waived if you continued your Onstar subscription. I am not sure if this option is still available, but you might call Onstar on the landline phone to find out.
The voice recognition part of the nav system never really worked beyound responding to a few words in either my XLR or STS, you can thank Denso for that.
