Newport Indiana Hill climb. XLR GTG '09?

To my friends here;
I went to the Newport Indiana hill climb. This was the 41st annual running but the competition goes way back.

The deal is that stock cars compete against the clock running up the hill. It does not look that steep but just ask someone that has walked it! It is about a 1/2 mile run that takes cars between 30 seconds to over a minute to acomplish. Oh by the way, nothing newer than 1950 may compete.

The other part of the event is a fantastic car show. Many really tricked street rods and classics were packed into this little town.

This link should go to a slideshow.

Might be another great reason for us all to get together!

Bob, thanks for the pictures. It looks like a fun event. Like you said, maybe we can go next year.
