Question Front Parking Sensors

I have a 2009 XLR Platinum Edition. To my surprise (and my Caddy Dealer as well), the car does not have front parking sensors. I've contacted Cadillac Division of GM and they say, because the car was never optioned for font parking sensors, there is no way to add them. My next thought is the after-market... so my question is: Has anyone installed front parking sensors on their car? ... and if so, which ones did you use? Any details would be appreciated . Thank you, Caddy42

WELCOME!!

To my knowledge no one has atttempted to add front parking sensors on their XLR. I wish the option was there too. I also would lie a back up camera hooked into he rear sensors and rhe NAV display screen.

Pioneer makes a aftermarket system with all of these features and may be a goo starting point for finding a front sensor set up.

I hope the solution will also cover the cement wheel stops that are always just a hair too tall and cause under the front bumper scrapes.

again, welcome aboard and good hunting.

I ran across this product on a Corvette site and thought it might be a good solution for you.

Front parking sensors

I installed the "Cure for the comon curb" sensor on my 06 XLR last summer and it worked great until I had a 'Head-on' with a Raccoon in OK. on my way to NHC last year, that took out half of my lower grill.
After repairing my baby last year, I reinstalled the sensor and it works great again.
The only thing you have to be careful about is it only beeps once and if you have your radio to loud you may miss it's beep!
I've been thinking of adding a flashing LED to it.
