My wife got a better look than I did. All I saw was a lump of black driving through the parking lot. My wide got a clear look and stated she did not like it. The tailights would be impossible to see at night when vehicle is parked and the lights are not on. She felt it diminished the "detail" and/or "contrast" between lighting lens color and body color.

"Standby" I hope this was not your vehicle or I am in real trouble.

No JP, Mine is Platinum with Foose rims. I'm the one that didn't like the new red because it too lost detail with the taillights-------to much all one color. My daughter had those snap on covers over her lights and tailights on a black car and didn't like them at all. (Smoked glass)

I agree Jack.

I saw a 2006 Infrared at my dealer today for the first time. It was parked next to an Red-E Escalade. The color difference between the two vehicles is almost indistinguishable. While both were generically "burgundy" colored vehicles, the Red-E shades ever so slightly to the blue, while Infrared is a tiny bit more magenta.

Nice color, but I still prefer the Xenon Blue.

No Cherry Blossoms Yet!

Are the cherry blossom out yet, Oh wait, that's another 6 months. BTW, the color reminds me of cherries [url="http://www.smileycentral.com/?

No, the cherry blossoms aren't out yet, but the fall foliage is just as gorgeous! Only wish I was at home to enjoy it!

[QUOTE=standby]Allyn, I agree with the color being delicious, almost to the point of biting into it, but the thing I don't like is the tailights are almost the same color as the car and doesn't leave any accent points, I therefore changed my V to Platinum. Just a matter of choice.

No Cherry Blossoms yet, but the fall foliage is just as gorgeous here on the East Coast. Wish I was home to enjoy it . . . I'm in Tucson right now, on business -- the weather doesn't suck here!

I drive a platinum '05 XLR, and am very happy with my color choice. I could have had the crimson, but wasn't nuts about it.

Cool

Oh boy, did I ever boo boo on this one. Since my last
post to Blue Steel Baby, I have had a change in email address', my new one is [email protected]. Please forgive me. Also Blue Steel Baby, I have changed the color on my XLR. Some of you already know this, but on Halloween, how totally appropriate, I got my '06 Star Black Edition, , but I do have to say that it is quite a change from the Blue Steel one and you know I couldn't have two the same color in our little village, now could I?

Is there a way???? To make a poll, just that, a poll with the results? No replies can be posted! That way, when someone votes in a poll, I, (everyone) won't have to look at the end of the thread to see if there is any replies, comments, to only see that the last actually reply was in 2006!

Just my thoughts, maybe it's dumb, I've done dumber things, (did I admit that?)

Chad:

I'll have to "fiddle around" with your idea.

We can ask that no one post and of course I can delete them as they occur but it would be nice if it was automated as you suggest.

Big Grin

Crystal Red. I bought the 08 largely because of the color. However I had the Silver in my 05 and liked it almost as much: it reminded me of my 67 Corvette.
