Jack Smith

I see by today's Trib that Jack Smith, retiring from GM, is trading his Corvette for an XLR. He says that it's more comfortable.

that's a sign of old age! when you turn in the vette for a caddie because you can't get in or out!

Good for him.

Were I in his shoes, I'd probably trade a $50,000 sports car for a $75,000 sporting GT too.

The XLR looks to be a great car. Ultimate performance notwithstanding, XLR has it all over the Corvette. Plenty quick, athletic, luxurious, sexy, gizmo appeal...

Sometimes shredding pavement isn't the most important thing in life.
