A little more detail. Have 2007 XLR Passion. Sight I went to said regular gas ok but hi-test preferred. Is this info correct? Like to use regular because of cost, but don't want to ruin good engine for 20 cents a gallon:smash
Most modern cars, including the XLR, will run on regular gas with the engine electronics adjusting to prevent knocking and engine damage. However, engines like the XLR that are optomized for premium will provide better performance and milage with premium. It would take comparison in milage numbers and fuel cost to determine if your car's milage increase would offset the increased cost of premium. ...performance is up to you.
