Anybody know more about this one? It's listed as a buyback for a floorpan dent? When I get a chance I'll run a history on it, just curious if it belongs to anyone here.

I sent the seller an email, asking "is this vehicle a Lemon Law buyback?

His response was interesting, "As mentioned in the ad, the paperwork we have from GM shows this is a voluntary buyback."

Hhmm.....

That's what the manufacturer says to avoid going to lemon law court and to keep the customer as happy as can be. These traditionally are NOT resold through a dealer but through auction, which is probably how it landed at a Chrysler dealer. Buyer beware as there is likely no warranty anymore since Cadillac washed their hands of it.

MrXLR, please correct me if I'm wrong. My information is based on MBZ's policies, not Cadillac's. I'm assuming they're pretty close.

Voluntary repurchase from a customer generally will have a branded title. It does not necessarily mean the warranty is void. Generally, if it was a repurchase from the dealer, due to transit damage, it may have been repaired and sold as a used car, but if it was repurchased from an owner, it will have a branded title. This car does not currently show a branded title, nor does it have a warranty file block. The 4 year 50k warranty will be up in Oct. 07. The dealer shows a Chevrolet franchise also, so the car was most likely purchased at a GM auction.
