Has anyone had their XLR pinstriped or seen an example?

XLR Forum just wont allow me to upload a larger picture - although I admit that I took these photos before I found the "White balance" setting wheel on my Nikon digital.

Standby, I still think you are not getting the enlarged photo. Go to "My XLR Photos". Click on "side view". Of the three, this is the largest photo. Then after it paints, again click on "click here to enlarge". The photo should occupy most of the area of your monitor.

Also, check out the gold package. :thumbs

I'm still contemplating whether I will add a stripe or not.

We just took delivery last week of a 2005 Crimson Pearl. Have Installed the "Lund Cadillac" Chrome Grille and Rectangular Exhaust Tip (both look great, adds a significant punch to the overall appearance). Next week we will be installing a custom set of 19" Makaveli wheels (with Cadillac Emblem center caps) and a complete Gold Emblem package.

I will post some photos once we’re finished.

After much debate I came to the conclusion that a stripe would do nothing to improve the apperance of the XLR. I put my initials in the shale color, to match the interior, on each door. It was just the touch it needed. Tim

Aviator:
I'm not sold on the pinstripes "yet," the chrome wheels really set off your XLR! Thanks for the pics...

DE plane DE plane,
I've got the best picture a can get. I even copied it into a photo enhancer to lighten it up but had no luck. You might try dumpping those pics and putting the same pics that I'm sure you have saved on your Computer and lighten them up some. I don't know if I would pin stipe it anyway

NO, NO..........Please don't do the Gold I'm so against that move, but it's your car.
I will admit, that I'm jealous of the grille and the tips. Can the tips be welded on or just screwed on? I don't think I would like them screwed on. DId you get a deal on them?

Welded of course. A deal?...no, $1,895 for the grille and $995 for the exhaust pipe....the price for being a little different

The rectangular tips, are they as shown in their catalog? One piece of material, with a divider, welded to the pipes?

When you get a chance, can you post photos?

I've seen that link and photos, I was hoping for a photo of the tips on your car so we can get an idea of what they look like outside of a catalog.

Love the gold look on Aviator's xenon blue!

Thanks, gb10998!

I'm on another of my "Man's Quest for Hydrocarbons" trips - this time in Stavanger, Norway.

It appears that once again, aviator's gold package is the subject of some controversy. :eek I happen to think the blue/gold combination is spectacular. Especially when its all shined up.

In lieu of pinstriping, I like the concept of the name on the door to carry on the stealth fighter theme. Are you doing that "M.A.S.H. 4077" font? Probably won't do it myself because I prefer anonymity. But knock yourself out, and send us a photo or two. We do love photos around here.

But standby...my photos are clear as a bell. (Am I right, guys?) You either need a new monitor, or a new optical prescription. :D But send me a private message with your e-mail address and I'll send you a B-I-G seven megapixel photo. But if you complain about download time...

I know it's a bit off topic for this thread, but is anyone interested in me posting a few photos of Norwegian automotive iron? It seems that because Norway is a net energy exporter, the fuel prices here a cheaper than in Europe. Also, they just don't have to drive very far here. That dynamic drives a slighly different demand for vehicles. If you are interested, I'll post in the "Off-Topic General Interest" section of the forum.

Aviator,
I haven't heard many guys complain about not seeing your pinstriping, so I'm going to assume that it is optical (damn cataract) I have a new 19" Sony Plasma 1024X768/60hZ and have tried lightening, contrast, etc but still can barely see the stripe. I even tried the magnifier in accesories.
I really want to see you big picture so here is my e-mail, standby7@cox.net
Have a safe trip, bon voyage, and all that rubbish.
Bob
PS How do I post pictures in the gallery?
