Hi I just want to know since 2006 was the first year for the "V" if the 2006 model has any problems, recalls or electrical bugs and so on?
Also which is more reliable the XLR or XLR-V?
Are there any problems with the supercharger of the XLR-V?
Thanx

Yes 2006 is the first year for the "V".
Please read the recommendations regarding warranty's. It is VERY important to get a GMPP warranty before the original factory warranty expires.
There are many posts here on the issues for the various years. When you get a chance, you can read through them or do a search for issues.
Regards
Jerry

Reported reliability for the final four year builds has been about the same. None are more (or less) prone to specific faliures. It stands to reason that incremental improvements (harness routing, parts with enhanced firmware, etc) were continuously made as manufacturing progressed. The biggest differences are a few options, steering wheels, colors, leather dash pad, front & rear fascias (2009), chrome vents (2009) and price.
Supercharger reliability has been very good across the board of the V models. The main problems I know of stem from aftermarket superchargers on the first gen CTS-Vs, and with their glass diffs, adding horsepower is like daring the Fickle Finger of Fate to point in your direction. The supercharged N* rarely gets postings of trouble.

Bought my 06 V over a year and a half ago. I have been trouble free and love driving the car. It was cadillac certified and I paid the small fee for the oil changes and service. All the computer updates were preformed before I bought it. I believe they have the bugs worked out of the 06 V. I love driving this car and the preformance of the V is incredible!!!!!

I know the 2004 had allot of weak parts, what model year did not have any of those problems from the start?

Starting in '06 many of the earlier problems were done away with. So, '06 and newer should serve you well. But, always carry a warranty.

You can buy an extended warranty for longer than you should own most any car.

Q8Knight,
I own a 2008, which I bought used, and I haven't had any problems or issues with it for six months. Running like a champ. Will take it in for its first service this month. We'll see what I say after that. :-)#
I'd suggest that you go with '08 or '09 CPO.

Did the XLR-V's shale interior color change from 2006 to 2007?
I know 2008s have the Cashmere "Tan" interior instead of the shale, but what about the 2007 model?
