I have been a member (and XLR owner) for a little over a year now. I finally decided to post because I now actually have something to say :)
I just had a new Kenwood 9960 installed today. Everything works except the OnStar audio (it will mute properly, but no sound from OnStar).
It sounds much better than the factory unit, and the Garmin is WAY better than the factory nav system.
I will update with more info in the proper section when I get moderated.

Welcome Kriston!
The Kenwood head unit has some great features. I use a Garmin nav system in one of my other cars, and it's light years beyond what GM installs. I wish they would team up with Garmin and sub-contract all of their nav systems to them (like they do with their premium speaker systems with Bose.)
Do you retain the operability of your steering wheel-mounted switches to operate the Kenwood unit? (Class 2 compatibility) Do the station call signs appear on your HUD as well when you switch between them? Does the stereo de-energize when you shut off the ignition and open the driver's door? (RAP compatibility)
Thanks,
