If you haven't had any today, here's a little good news: Your LEDs are working as they should. The LEDs indicate the door's Lock/Unlock status (since there aren't any pop-up/out door locks indicator/buttons, like on a boring car) to let you know their state.

When the door is closed, there are two short flashes each second if the door is unlocked. When the closed door is locked, the LED displays one long flash for three seconds.

When the door is open and unlocked, the LED flashes continuously during a one second period. If the open door is unlocked, the LED is on solid.

Test on Friday.

By "the right door works fine," do you mean the passenger door opens/closes correctly or the LED is indicating the proper lock/unlock status and the driver's side door does not?

LEDs use very little current, so unless you let the car sit for weeks at a time, a constantly illuminated LED should not be a problem for a properly charged battery.

If the driver's side LED is not functioning correctly, cycle the lock/unlock switch on each door and open/close the driver's side door with each test. Also, use the fob to lock/unlock the door and verify the door not only locks/unlocks on command, but the LED indicates the proper status as well. These operability tests can help confirm if you have a stuck switch sending a constant lock/unlock signal to the Driver's Side Door module. If the LED is still illuminated, it's time to have a Cadillac tech use a Tech 2 to interrogate the affected circuit and determine why the LED is being commanded to the constant ON state. You may have a faulty switch or door module.
