Hey all! My first time here, but I have been a Cadillac fan my entire life. I bought my first one, a 1970 Sedan de Ville in a color I believe they referred to as "Burnt Orange" in my senior year of high school. It was far from new but what did I care, I was seventeen and driving a Cadillac. I currently have three in my "stable" and am looking to buy my first xlr. I am seriously considering the '08 model in Alpine White. Am looking for any input on standard vs v and was hoping for some help from Mr Administrator since he apparently owns an '08 v. And since I have your attention, you recently told "starblack 225" that he should have contacted you before he fianalized his purchase. Any thoughts on gm auction pricing of this model? Thanx for all your help. You guys are awesome!

Welcome to the XLR Forum.

You will find that the members here are more than ready to help out and offer suggestions based on their experiences and in some cases professions.

So jump right in and do your research and ask question on issues you can't find answers to.

ALSO, you will find that the search function help to locate all of the history on a particular issue.

As far as the car you are looking for, check the EBAY Auto Web site and the Auto Trader Web Site--National listings for your car of choice. Then if you choose to, contact Allen Black owner of Black Cadillac and have him find a car for you...at a price that beats what is on the market. THIS IS OF COURSE BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.

He'll be sure to verify that the car is what it is supposed to be...CarFax and GM Service History and that you can extend the warranty GMPP--etc.

He knows the market, cars and the auctions and is real good in locating pristine cars at great values.

I hope all of this helps in your particular search.

Regards

Jerry
