I was just wondering, for those that have XLRs with close to 100,000 miles ( or more) on the odometer..how are things holding up? Any leaks, sloppy suspension, squeaks?

2004 at 68k, and no longer under CPO warranty. Only post-warranty problem so far is a very annoying plastic creak somewhere behind me to the left. During the year before the warranty expired I had a trunk water leak, a coolant leak that wasn't the water pump, and a coolant leak that was. The worn-through seatback leather was replaced about 10k miles ago and is already wearing through again. No suspension issues. Fwiw, another XLR was at the dealer two of the same days I was there for the trunk leak, and that's what he was there for too. It seems like XLR-specific parts like the trunk weatherstrip aren't readily available, and the dealers have to track down another dealer who has them.

I have an 04 with 96000 miles. It has been better for the last 10000 miles than the first 86000. They had some design problems but after all have been corrected they are pretty good cars.

We test drove a few, and I noticed that the ones with more mileage tended to have squeaks with the sheet and rear shelf. The "seatback leather" is that the piece closest to the driver door? I noticed that even with only 13k miles that this section of the seatback has a lot of wear...I suppose from trying to get in and out of the car. When I washed it, I checked for leaks in the trunk area, none seen at this time. ...Thanks for sharing..

I agree, I think they are just going to be one of those cars that are timeless in style.

2005 with 90k on it. I have had very few issues since the first month I bought it CPO. I guess I pushed the car a bit harder than the previous owner. No leaks - everything is dry as a bone. The only thing that it seems I need to do is get the convertible top software reload every six months or so. It seems when I do this it resets all the sensors and the top goes back to performing as quick as when it was new. Around the 6 month mark it seems the sensors get a bit out and it takes about 6-8 seconds longer to cycle.

Couple of things we're already noticed on this 2005 model with only 13K miles:

DRL are melting the plastic ...read the thread about that issue. Guess we'll turn off the DRL as the headlamp assys are expensive.

Radio volume drops off on the passenger side intermittently with no apparent reason.
