I've developed a strange problem with the garage door opener in the visor. I have it programed to open two of my doors. It used to open both doors at the corner of the street so the doors are open when I get there. Lately one of the doors will still open from the corner but the other will only open when you are right in front of the door. The door will still open from the corner with either one of my other two vehicles so that eliminates the receiver, it has to be in the transmitter in the visor. Any thoughts on what might be causing it.

I've noticed a similar problem with my garage opener and have thought about re-programing it from my hand unit to see if that helps, but have not yet tried this. Mine also works well from the street with my other car, but only intermittenly from the street with the XLR. I will be interested in any input on this and whether you find a solution.

Monepit's is working pretty good if he can still open one door down the street; there aren't any schematics of the homelink unit, but I've taken one apart during a visor project last year and there isn't much in them. I doubt there are seperate transmitters for each channel, so one channel may just need to be re-programmed. It looks like there's a receiver/transmitter and three programmable memories

Since there are three available memories for each Homelink transmitter, I would program channel 3 with the door's remote that isn't working as well, and see how it performs, possibly isolating the problem.

Once again CC, You are the man. I went out and reprogrammed and now it will open from the corner again. Strange. I cant imagine how it will still work but the range is diminished. But it worked. Thanks
