I thought I read that the STS-V has a boost gauge built into the DIC. Wonder why this was omitted in the XLR-V? Anyone install a boost gauge on their V? Can you look at this parameter with a code reader? I think this information would be interesting to monitor.

Hello,
I dont know why they didnt include this feature on the XLR-V. You can certainly install a boost gauge in the cabin, however it would have to be something cusom.
As for monitoring it on a code reader. The only way to possibly do this would be on a GM TECH2 tool. You should be able to monitor those values. I am pretty sure you cannot read that value on any code reader.
Hope that helps.
Thank you,

I installed gauges for A/F ratio, Fuel Pressure, and Boost in my V. I cannot upload the pics because they are greater than 100K size
Took me 2 weeks to do it. Lots of learning and research along the way.

That's really neat. What kind of boost do you see on your gauge? Does the gauge connect directly to the manifold with a hose or does it have an electronic sensor? Thanks for the pics.
