UNRATLD

Hello,
I'm considering buying an XLR-V as a daily driver. I currently drive a Viper RT/10 which is a great car, but not ideal for day-to-day driving.
While shopping, are there any model years I should avoid? Are there any known serious problems I should be on the lookout for?
Thanks!

Welcome to the XLR Forum.
Please read the postings on this subject. You can access them by doing a search and everything on the subject will pop up.
The main issue to be sure the car is under an origional GM Factory warranty, GM Certified Warranty or a GMPP warranty for as long as possible.
You will want a CarFax on the car to be sure that is represented properly and it hasn't been hit and that everything is in good working order.
Be sure to obtain a GM Service History for the car.
I am also recommending that you have the tires and brakes examined as well. The reason is that replacement brakes are abut $1k with new rotors and a set of tires are about $1,200. The fact that it may need them soon can be a bargaining chip on the sales price. You definitely don't want to find out after the sae because you sunk cost will go up by that amount of the expeditures.
GOOD HUNTING!!!

Go to Midas, they did all 4 for a small 400 bucks but didnt need rotors.
I dont know if you bought already but you need to make sure the orange driving light lenses arent burned up. GM doesnt stand behind their product. Mine are burnt now and it happened 15 days after the warranty expired. CADDY customer service said screw you.

There are no problems with XLR-V headlights, virtually all problem headlights were on 04 and some early 05 XLRs. The "V" dates from '06.
