I don't know if this should be a roof (top) question, a trunk question or a water leak question, so I have put it in water leaks.

Question: What do y'all do to stop rain water that has collected on the trunk lid from pouring into the trunk when you open it?

Am I going to need a cloth to wipe the trunk lid before I open it, or find a way of mounting some kind of water collection device on each side of the trunk?

And yes the paint is well polished so the water beads up nicely, when parked level a surprising quantity of rain water will sit on the trunk lid.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I carry a shamwow-kinda absorbent cloth, and sometimes even remember it in time...

Why is there any water on your baby???

Use your backup wheels on those days!

That is an option of course, however it doesn't cover the occasion when I'm on a visit and it rains.

Yes, that was the conclusion I was reaching. After several days drying out the trunk is more or less dry now. I have left the trunk open and mopped up the water under all the sound proofing. The drain in the hydraulic motor for the roof was fine and oddly there was no water at all in the right hand stowage.

Unimpressive design flaw in my opinion.

I sling off 90% of the water with my open hand, then live with the few drops that go into trunk.
