Just joined and have read all of the posts on the burnt headlight issues. It would seem that GM would issue a recall, although it is not a safety issue but rather cosmetic. I tried my dealership and came up with zip! I purchased a pair on eBay rather reasonable in perfect condition.
Would anyone have any leads on obtaining an XLR 1/18 scale model? Preferably in red. Thanks, Bob.

The headlight issue was a problem for the 2004 and part of 2005 model years.

If you were under the original Cadillac Factory Warranty, the healights were replaced free of charge and a "Booster was also installed. I think that if you were under the Cadillac Certified Warranty they would be replaced as well. I am not positive about the GMP and GMPP Warranties as to whether or not they will replace them as well. But if I had one I would sure try.

Some dealers did it as a customer service issue. But some expense was borne by the owners.

The 1/8 scale XLR models are rare now that the actual car isn't made anymore. You might try one of the more popular model manufacturers web sites to see if they still have some OR one of the members may have one that they wold like to sell.
