: Cruise control again

My cruise control is mostly useless, unless I am on flat roads. Seems there is not enough engine breaking to retard accelleration when going down a hill. And it doesn't need to be too steep a grade to pick up 6 to 8 mph. I don't think the torque converter locks after a certain speed, or higher gear.
Anyone else have this problem with their cruise control?
I don't have adaptive cruise control either, on my 06

Thanks

Rusty

Unless you have a "V" you do have adaptive cruise control.

If it isn't performing properly I recommend you take it in to the dealer and have them go over it. It is a very important tool when revenues are increasingly an issue and are being made up by increased radar and speeding tickets.

Thanks, admin. I do have a V. In reading the user manual, seems this is normal operation. Bummer.
