Sorry if this thread already exists but I couldn't find anything. I'm looking to do some bolt ons and was wondering what's worth it? I found the Volant cold air intake for about $400 on average and of course the Magna Flow and Corsa exhaust.
What are your takes and what have you done?
Also, has anyone thought of installing an X pipe? and if so attach a link or the site you purchased.
Thanks!

Good Poll!!!!
ALSO, If you read back through this section AFTER going to the bottom and ensuring that you have all of the postings from the Begining, you will know everything we have on the issue.
My opinion is that D3 and Lund Cadillac can do you a lot more good as to what works and what doesn't for your car.
They have the "seat time" in testing and mistakes to make sure you get the best results.

Went to the Corvette Show at Carlisle PA with a friend of mine on Friday. In my conversations with the manufacturers there I found out that the Magnaflow Cat Back exhaust system for the XLR comes with the X pipe as part of the package. The Corsa guy did not have the info and didn't know (it was a Corvette show after all) and the Borla guy was clueless ( I don't think they make one for the XLR).

Carlisle huh?? I'll bet NO ONE was there......Ha, Ha.
You know some of the reps aren't up on their products like they should be. I suggest a quick call to each vendor to see what they are currently offering.

X pipe included might make the magna flow stand out even more over corsa. Thank you for the search.
I'm now having to put some money out to get my front bumper repainted after some stooge hit my car Friday night in the parking lot at Miami Prime.

Sorry about your bumper. I'll bet you took extra care to park away from the crowd and OOOPS somebody decided to get close to you....
I hate that!!!

Probably some guy gazing and drooling over your car, tried to get a close look and ran into it, what a shame. I dread returning to my car every time I have to park it, never know what you'll find. Good luck.

Just installed a Corsa exhaust, and wow, what a difference. She now sounds as good as she looks. People now turn to see her before I've gone by. I consider it a service to those who appreciate nice cars :lol
To answer your question, Corsa comes with a H pipe no X pipe, while Magnaflow comes with the X pipe. I'm hesitant on the cold air intake because of other members mentioning it caused errors being thrown by the sensors.

I have decided to sell my 2005 XLR and I took the corsa pipes off after one year. they still look great. they have been up in the top of my garage. If anyone would like to buy them, $900.00 and I will ship or 850.00 and you pick up. I will be going south to southwest AZ soon for the winter from northern WV and if you are along my route we could meet. I will be traveling in my motorhome so would not be a problem..... if interested email Budsvet@hotmail.com......:cheers:cheers:cheers:jes ter

I say CAI and MagnaFlow exhaust. The MagnaFlow has a nice deep sound. It does great with V8 and V6 engines. If you want to be a bit more noticeable at high RPMs, it does the trick great. Just my take. :D
