Hello, I am 20 years old and just bought an XLR! My question is concerning how to install a new mesh grill purchased on woodview.com. It says in the instructions that if you are installing it on any XLR other than black, that you need to paint the inside of the grill opening black. My car is silver and i was wondering if this makes a difference. Please let me know ASAP! I appreciate it.

Well obviously the color you paint the area behind the grill will not affect the performance of the car. The idea with the black paint is to make the area invisible when you look through the grill and provide a contrast for the chrome grill features.

So enjoy your ride and the decision you make. If you don't like it you can always paint it again.
