Hello, my 2005XLR has now for the second time had a mysterious dead battery. After I have recharged the battery the top will not work. The 1st time they replaced a module or something that went bad. I am wondering what is draining the battery, I don't think I am hitting the accessory position when I turn the car off, and if so wouldn't there be a timer on it so not to drain the battery ? Is there away to reset or reprogram the top instead of going to the dealer ?
Thank you for your help

First welcome to the XLR Forum.
There are lots of owners here that will be more than happy to share their experiences with you.
As far as the battery thing goes I am wondering if you used a battery tender to charge your battery or just put it on a standard charger.
If it was a battery tender then I am also hoping that the green light was on solid when you disconnected the "tender".
Now to your top--What exactly is happening??? did you start the car and then try to raise and lower the top?? If so was there a message on the DIC?
I would also be sure that the package tray in the trunk is seated properly in the connectors.
Then try to operate the top--with the engine running.
Let us know what does or does not happen.

When the battery goes dead you have to reindex the windows. Start the car and pat each window down and hold the button for 10 seconds, then put it up and hold the button for ten seconds. That should fix your top problem.
