i'm new here so forgive me if i am bringing up old news. on the the tailights, if one of the LEDS goes out, is there any way to repair this without replacing the entire taillight? i am guessing no but it never hurts to ask. thanks.

Welcome to the Forum.
your question is new for me. Maybe somebody else can answer it or just call your dealer and see what they say.
Regards
ecurb99, you have to replace the whole thing $527.

It is not so much a question of being able to replace a single led as it is of being able to buy one! It seems that all the cars these days are build with 'modules' or sub assemblies, not individual parts. I recently needed a couple of small parts for an automatic outside mirror on my other Caddy (DTS) and was told that all I could purchase was the entire assembly for $500 plus. I ended up buying a used one from a scrap yard for a fraction of that and removed the parts I needed (rather than repaint and install the used one.) The moral is you may want to see if you can find an led and replace it yourself or find a good taillight from a salvage yard. Good luck!
Kahuna & ecurb99, I was told today by a master tech ( that came to my house ( 45 min ) to jump start my car that someone in Texas was rebuilding the stop lights, didn't know if he was doing the taillight also, my guess is yes. Tech said to look in the cadillac forum not xlr forum. Also there is a bullitin on battery run down #0706 03-001 03 reprogram RCDRL First problem with my car since I been storing it, off to dealer today, nice day in Chicago, FINALLY
