Heres a piece of good info for today out of PAT DOSS'S GARAGE to keep your top working. Inspect all top seals, pay close attention to the front seal above the wind shield that seals the top, it catches most the grim ( clean it well ) USE a spray silicon for rubber, spray into cap of product & use a foam brush to apply.
LUB all moving parts of top, USE a Clear lubrication spray, not the white stuff, spray into product cap & use a Qtip to apply to moving parts of top.

NEVER NEVER move car, top up, top down .
NEVER park car as to catch a blast of air from anything moving.
These xlr tops are very sencitive to any moving air.
FORD did it right GM DIDN'T
