In the 2004 they used a magnetic tire pressure sensor that would get activated with a magnet instead of the new sensors they use a JP tool GM now uses in the shop. Would anyone know the part number of these tire pressure sensors??? THX!!!

I seem to recall the '04s were different, and checked my parts list spreadsheet and came up with this: 25753868. The PN isn't listing anything in any of the online parts sites I checked to verify this number today. Currently, they're showing the TPS sensors as being applicable to the '04-'08 model years, so my best guess is they've been upgraded and aren't stocking the old part anymore. Upgrades are good for the simple reason that they're well, upgrades. The '04's and early '05s were guinea pigs for GM QC to learn how to make the vehicle more reliabile. If you absolutely have to have the older part, I suggest watching eBay. Schram Auto Parts auctions a revolving inventory of XLR parts on eBay and having bought a few, I can recommend them.

Tony:

The other place you can go is Discount Tire. I had all of my original sensors replaced when I put new tires on. In my experience they do provide good service as well.
