My 04 does the same thing as well as shake and almost stall. Goes away almost right away, but if it's really cold 'service engine soon' and 'stabilitrak warming' display on the DIC.
Unacceptable to me, so back to the dealer it goes ....

I have an 04 too and it doesn't do any of this stuff. I agree a trip to the dealer is in order.

On cold starts, usually under 50 degrees, for the first 3-5 minutes, the engine will throttle slightly up and down about 1000 or so RPM. There are many factors that can cause this such as air density, humidity and outside temp, requiring a more rich of a fuel mixture.

This is very common for non XLR-Vs in cold morning or when the vehicle sits for more than 6 hours. and as long as the engine is not running rough, just a variation in the throttle I would not take it to your dealer for any type of service.
