Hello All,

I bought an 04 XLM last year as a cert preowned and love the car! I joined months ago and have enjoyed reading through this sites wealth of information.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize I had to post in this section first and had posted two questions earlier today but have now noticed that they don't appear anywhere.

Please let me know what I need to do to become an approved member so I can openly post to this forum.

Kind Regards,

Thanks for the approval :)

I was suprised that the foum software gave be reply buttons and allowed me to type. Other forums I've joined typically grey them out.

I Presume that my ealier posts are lost?

Regards,
Mike

Looks that way, if you click on your name you're able to see how many times you posted. You show only two.

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the forum! Would you mind posting your original questions again?
Have fun and if you get a chance, maybe post a picture of your XLR. :thumbs
What color is it?

Mea, et al,

Thanks for the warm welcome.

It’s silver (platinum) with the beige interior and light wood. I will look for a picture to post

For the most part it’s stock except the Iopd adapter that I had installed. I am thinking about modifying the exhaust and adding a rear stabilizer but that all depends on if I keep this car or get a newer one.
I have had her for about a year and a half and have put about 45k on it. I was really hoping that there was going to be some radical changes but it seems GM would rater focus on the CTS. I would have jumped to a new one especially if they offered a manual trans but I think I will wait to see what 2010 brings in terms of features.

Regards,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Ours is an 04 Satin Nickle and Paul also put in the Ipod adapter, we added the sway bar. You and Paul both would rather have a stick!
You have put quite a bit of miles on it....that means you are enjoying the heck out of it. :yesnod
Many owners modify the exchaust & wheels. If you search the forum, you will find many other mods!
Looking forward to your picture of your ride!

Thanks!
Mea
