I could have sworn that a couple of owners did actually have their XLRs Dyno Tuned. But I cant' seem to locate their posts.

The best "tuners" that have posted here are D3 and Mallet. I would recommend that you contact either or both of them to see what they have to offer in the way of upgrade packages and tuning enhancements.

FWIW: some of the owners have had good experiences with K&N Filter or Volant Filter upgrades. the big caution here is not to over oil them. If you do you run the risk of clogging up the sensors. NOT COVERED BY GM WARRANTY.

Some of the members have seen 25-30 hp gains as a result.

Here's the contact information for one of the vendors:

thanks for the info.
Also I did put K N air filters on right from the box no oil etc., and the engine sensor lights did come on. Dealer said they wont work with XLR and charged me to replace them with stock filters...:banghead

WRONG ANSWER!! He just isn't familiar with what needs to be done. You are definitely moving a lot more air thru the motor (leaning out the ECM settings).

A suggestion would be to contact K&N and see what they recommend. Lots of people are running these filters with no problems.
