Just found this forum and it's already been a help. Was able to look at postings and find out how to get in the car after the battery died. Have had my 2005 XLR for about two months - first GM we've owned since 1988 as we tend to be Mopar or No Car folks (Chrysler products) and LOVE my XLR. Our grandchildren love Grandma Di's "Transformer" and look forward to taking turns riding with me.:yesnod

Welcome to the Forum!!
There are many very nice and knowledgeable members here. We also hope you will continue to find answers to questions about your XLR.
FWIW: There are some posts about not using the top when the car is off that may be of interest to you. It really drains the battery.
Also if you have one occasionally in my experience I have put my Battery Tender on the car over night. It trickle charges the battery up to the full capacity and to me the car seems to run much better.
Cadillac will load test your battery and in many cases will be reluctant to let you leave without a new battery because they don't want you stranded somewhere on the road.
Unfortunately in the end we will all need a new battery.

Luparello,
Welcome to the forum! You will find some great information, activities and events that are planned with other XLR owners and car enthusiasts.
There are smaller gatherings all over the nation and I hope you can make it to some of them. :cool
Also if you have pictures of you and your new car, please post them.
Have fun:)
