I had trouble with one of my key fobs not being recognized, so I replaced the battery (had a spare per Mr. XLR's recommendation). It worked OK at first, then intermitten - even when plugged-into the glovebox socket. I replaced the battery a second time thinking I might have had a bad one the first time and still had a problem. Then I did a simple thing: I took the FOB apart and bent the contacts so they made tighter contact and my problem dissappeared!

It may be a good idea to check the contacts if you ever experience similar problems.
