If there is no longer a problem, or it was a false code, after 24 cycles of the engine the warning code is deleted and the light would be eliminated.

A side note: Each time you depress the start button, it takes about 2 hours of engine running to recoup the power used to start the car. Please don't start and stop your engine, as you will drain your battery to a very low level.

Good information

Also, it would be good to remind the owners how much the top operation drains the battery and why it isn't a good idea to open and close it too many times without starting the car first.

You are so correct on that, dealers will experience this situation more than the retail customer.

Here it is in a nut shell, If your battery is fully charged (driving the vehicle daily for at least 2+ hours) or you have just finished charging your battery for at least 72 hours, 4 cycles of your top in accy mode (engine off) can severely deplete your battery where it may not start.

The XLR's top was designed to have full power when in operation, that is why we always have a charger on the vehicle for indoor demonstration of the top. If the battery goes dead, you may loose many features including the "window indexing" and the top may not operate correctly.
