I just installed my WR on Saturday and I enjoy it very much. Mine is lighted with white LEDs and does not utilize the Break Light Module. I would like to be able to adjust the intensity (dim it down a little) and be able to turn it off if desired without constantly having to mess with wiring.

My thoughts are a simple rheostat (similar to a circular dimmer on a light switch) which when turned all the way counter clockwise it clicks off, and adjusts the brightness as you turn it to the right. I would install this switch in line with the WR to vary the current flowing through the unit. I suspect however that there may be concerns with the lights being LEDs rather than incandesant fixtures, and that it may require a stepped down voltage rather than current to effect the dimming.

Anyone have any hints or help with dimming LEDs?

Thanks!
Ben.

Ben,

We've had customers do this before so I know it can be done. Probably as simple as going to radio shack or a local electronics outfit. Good luck and enjoy the product!

A simple on/off toggle switch can be installed on the hot wire or push button on/off to turn product off at night if for some reason you dont want it on. We have them for $4.00 or you can pick one up from the same place that carries the dimmer. Both of these options are on the BLM module.
